How to make a Voodoo doll.

I've noticed that my website has been getting a lot of hits from people searching for ways to make their own Voodoo dolls. Hopefully, this entry will help clear this up for people.
Anything can be used as a Voodoo doll, as long as you feel and believe that it represents the person or problem you are trying to address with the doll. A Voodoo doll is a tool to focus your energies and thoughts in asking the Lwa or your ancestors for their assistance with a problem or desire. You treat the doll with reverance and focus all your thoughts and energies on what you want it to do for you. Once the goal is achieved, you either bury it under the largest tree near your home, or you burn it and bury the ashes.
If you are using a Voodoo doll as general protection for yourself, your home or your family, the task is ongoing, so you kepp the doll forever and pass it on to your decendants to continue the protection.
I hope this helps answer some questions for some people!

I think it's past time for me to have a blog dedicated to my work and love of art. My inspirations and frustrations.
Most of my work is based on my interest in the (often misunderstood) religion of Voodoo. One of the many things I've been working on this year is my website.

Along with displaying and promoting some of my work, I hope to inform and enlighten people on the various Voudun faiths and practices. To learn a bit more, feel free to visit the Voodoo information page I've been working on at http://dynomoose.tripod.com/voodooinfo.html

If anybody bothers to read this, I hope I manage to post some things that inform and entertain you!
